Book I would recommend:Ā Charmed LifeĀ by Diana Wynne Jones

Favorite quote:Ā ā€œIf you can’t feed a hundred people, just feed one.ā€ Mother TeresaĀ

What would people be surprised to know about you?Ā People might be surprised to know that I hate riding bikes. The last time I road a bike was the first time in over a decade. Turns out, the old saying ā€œyou can never forget how to ride a bikeā€ is false!

What is a cause you’re passionate about?Ā I am passionate about children’s mental health and overall well being…For the last several years, I’ve volunteered as a youth leader at my church. A large part of what I do there is provide students with a safe place where they can explore the topics and issues of today in a loving and nonjudgmental environment. Ā
Why did you choose to attend ŗ£½ĒĀŅĀ×?Ā I chose to attend ŗ£½ĒĀŅĀ× because of its school of thought, clinical approach, and emphasis on people, relationships, and community. I had also been recommended ŗ£½ĒĀŅĀ× by alumni who were blown away by how cared for they felt by ŗ£½ĒĀŅĀ×. Not only did they receive an excellent education, they expressed personalized connection between the students and staff. From interacting and interviewing with ŗ£½ĒĀŅĀ× staff, it is obvious how much they want their students to succeed and flourish.Ā
What do you want to do with your degree/certificate?Ā After I graduate, my plan is to continue on for my PsyD.
What is your plan for after graduation?Ā With these degrees, I wish to fully implement what I’m passionate about. I would love to work with children in an integrative health system where mental health and overall well being are emphasized. Whether this means working out of a clinic or hospital, either way I would be able to give back and utilize the knowledge I’ve gained.
