At the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× (º£½ÇÂÒÂ×), we are committed to cultivating a learning environment that is safe, respectful, and inclusive. As part of this commitment, º£½ÇÂÒÂ× strictly prohibits any form of hazing. Every student has the right to join campus organizations or participate in group activities without fear of harm, intimidation, or humiliation.
Hazing contradicts the values of psychological safety, ethical behavior, and mutual respect, values central to our academic and professional community. Any individual or group found responsible for hazing will be held accountable through institutional procedures.

Hazing includes any act, on or off º£½ÇÂÒÂ× premises, committed as part of a student’s recruitment, initiation, pledging, admission into, or affiliation with a student organization or any pastime or amusement engaged in with respect to such an organization that causes, or is likely to cause, bodily danger or physical harm, or serious psychological or emotional harm, to any student attending º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, including causing, directing, coercing, or forcing a student to consume any food, liquid, alcohol, drug, or other substance which subjects the student to risk of such harm, regardless of the student’s willingness to participate.
Importantly, consent is not a defense to hazing. An individual’s willingness or agreement to participate does not excuse the behavior or eliminate consequences.
Reporting Hazing
If you witness or experience hazing, you are encouraged to report it. Creating a safe and respectful campus environment is a shared responsibility.
- Emergencies or immediate threats should be reported by calling 911.
- Non-emergency hazing concerns should be reported to the Director of Information Technology & Campus Security or the Vice President of Services & Operations.
- Anonymous reports can be submitted to the Vice President of Services & Operations.

Accountability and Support
º£½ÇÂÒÂ× takes all reports of hazing allegations seriously and will follow the appropriate due process as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct or the Equal Opportunity, Harassment, and Nondiscrimination Policy for all Faculty, Students, Employees, and Third Parties policies.Â
Sanctions for violations may include disciplinary action ranging from warning to dismissal and/or termination.
Hazing Prevention
Current º£½ÇÂÒÂ× students and employees are required to complete a hazing prevention module every fall. New students and employees will complete the hazing prevention module at orientation, and then annually in the fall.
