It’s time for our annual Year in Review! As we look back on each month of the academic year, the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× community can reflect on the changes and growth we have experienced since September, both individually and as a community. Here’s a look at highlights from January 2024.

The Structural Racism Programming Committee brought the “We Don’t Want Them: Race and Housing in Metropolitan Detroit” traveling exhibit to campus.

Other highlights from January:

IDEA and the ABPsi SC honored the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by posting copies of his “I Have a Dream” speech in the atrium and inviting students to add their own dreams to a shooting stars mural on the wall. 

Andrew Kaleita, our writing specialist, Stephanie Swanberg, one of our º£½ÇÂÒÂ× librarians, and Carrie Pyeatt, Director of Student Services, offered more sessions on tips and tricks for succeeding in Grad School. 

MENAPC hosted Arabic lessons and a potluck. 

Psi Chi hosted new member recruitment events where they shared how to apply for membership.

Blogs: We learned tips and tricks for course readings, Dr. Amy Hanes (PsyD ’16) shared what life is like after º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, Rachel Melton was in the staff spotlight, and Dr. Andreia Schulte was in the faculty spotlight.Â
