What would people be surprised to know about you?
I think people would be surprised to know that starting in my early-twenties, I spent five years working in Human Resources for an industrial automation company before my Psychology career.
Name a cause you are passionate about.
I’m passionate about empowering individuals who have been victims of childhood abuse to overcome their trauma and move forward in life.
Why did you choose º£½ÇÂÒÂ×?
I chose º£½ÇÂÒÂ× for my doctorate because of the experience I had while getting my MA here. I met some of the most passionate and compassionate people, both professors and classmates. I feel a part of a tight-knit community at º£½ÇÂÒÂ× which is important to me for graduate education.
What do you want to do with your degree?
Once I complete my PsyD, I plan on opening my own clinic where I’ll be working with clients and bringing on several other clinicians. I would like to work with trauma survivors. I also believe I would enjoy teaching at some point during my career.
How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?
I became interested in the mental health profession when I was about 13 years old and was going to therapy myself during a very difficult period of my life. It was transformative for me, and I realized I wanted to provide that same experience for others.
