Each year º£½ÇÂÒÂ× estimates the annual Cost of Attendance (COA) to help determine how much financial aid a student may receive. The COA includes:
- Tuition and feesÂ
- Books and supplies
- Estimated loan fees
- Living and personal expenses (such as housing, food, transportation, and other miscellaneous costs)
All students within a specific program receive the same standard estimates for most of these costs, except for tuition and fees, which vary by enrollment. The COA sets the maximum amount of financial aid a student may be eligible to receive. Students may choose to request aid that only covers direct costs, such as tuition and fees.

Special Circumstances (Professional Judgement)
In some cases, the COA can be adjusted for extra expenses such as:
- Childcare
- Unusual medical costs
- Other unusual expenses
Students can request a review by submitting a written explanation and supporting documentation to the Financial Aid Office.
Note: All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must follow federal rules. Changes to the COA does not guarantee an increase in federal loan eligibility.
