Meet Our Clinic Staff
The clinic operates under the supervision of a fully licensed psychologist, the Clinic Director. º£½ÇÂÒÂ× master’s and doctoral-level student trainees provide therapy under the direct supervision of an additional fully licensed psychologist.Ìý
Clinic Director
Jim Maher, PhD
Dr. Maher joined the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× in August 2019 and helped create the new Psychology Training Clinic. He previously worked in Detroit area hospitals on psychiatric inpatient units and was at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital for 24 years. While there, he was Lead Clinician for Behavioral Services, conducted daily individual and group psychotherapy, and directed the training of psychology students in both internship and practicum. Dr. Maher also served as an Adjunct Professor and Supervisor at the University of Detroit Mercy for 15 years, teaching a variety of courses, including Group Therapy and Psychology in a Hospital Setting. Director of Clinic Operations and Outreach
Holly ToccoÌý
Holly Tocco joined the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× clinic in 2021 and manages the day-to-day operations of the Clinic. In her role, Holly ensures compliance with HIPAA, schedules sessions with student clinicians, oversees patient tracking, records, and billing, and more. Holly has a degree in psychology from Western Michigan University and worked as a clinical team lead and patient care specialist prior to starting at º£½ÇÂÒÂ×. Learn more about Holly here.
Clinic Associate
Seongwon Lee, PsyD
Dr. Seongwon Lee joined the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× and the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× Clinic in the fall of 2025. She serves as both an academic instructor for the school and as the Clinic Associate. In her role, she will be working on various projects, including the possible expansion of Clinic services. Dr. Lee is a 2025 graduate of º£½ÇÂÒÂ×’s PsyD program.Ìý

Logan Chappell, PsyD
Dr. Logan Chappell joined the Michigan School Psychological Clinic in the fall of 2025.Ìý He earned both his MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology at º£½ÇÂÒÂ×.Ìý
Faculty Supervisor: Stacy Grindling, PsyD
Dr. Grindling first joined the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× as an Adjunct Faculty member in 2016 before joining the clinic as a faculty supervisor in 2023. Dr. Grindling received her PsyD from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In her clinical work, Dr. Grindling conducts evaluations and assessments with children and adolescents. Faculty Supervisor: Khrystyna Melnyk, PhD
Dr. Melnyk first joined the Michigan School Psychological Clinica as an Adjunct Supervisor in 2025. Dr. Melnyk received her PhD from the University of Detroit Mercy and has extensive experience in health psychology in large health systems. Click here to learn more about Dr. Melnyk.Ìý

Dr. Wood joined the º£½ÇÂÒÂ× as an Adjunct Faculty member inÌý 2023 and is currently serving as one of the faculty supervisors in the clinic.
